Never heard a transfer between spouses Scripture. (Not to be used in Michigan) but not actually removed from a mortgage.
If you are divorced, ask your lawyer before signing any act or transfer of ownership.
But once again - the signature of a spouse or quitclaim does not mean that the financial responsibility of a mortgage on the property.
